As the main contractor for the complete refurbishment of the 13 screen Cineworld complex in Edinburgh, we embraced various challenges, including raising the projection level floor to suit the new and improved viewing angles in the auditoriums. This cinema saw us return to the same site where we previously refurbished one screen into a 4DX. During this project we refurbished the IMAX and added a SCREEN X and Superscreen. Screen X creates a 270 degree viewing experience using the world’s first multi-projection technology to expand the traditional cinema screen to include the side walls. This cinema now features a 4DX, Screen X, iMax and Superscreen.
We refurbished all washrooms, main concourse and foyer areas, and installed a new lift to enable disabled customers to access the rear areas of the auditoriums.
